Sri Lanka's Batticaloa displays an extraordinary development.
Recently, an activist of the government coalition Ealam People;s Democratic Party (EPDP) was hacked to death. Police arrested three persons they claimed those who had received military training in Tamil Nadu.
However, India rejected the report saying it is baseless.
Now, vandalizing of Mahathma Gandhi's and Baden Powell's statues are reported from Batticaloa city. Heads of these statues that stood in the middle of the town were shattered by unidentified groups last night.
Are these incidents indications of terrorism raising head again in the area that was liberated from the hold of the Tamil Tigers in 2008 with the support of the former Deputy Leader of the rebels Karuna Amman.
